HISTORY

The Beginning
The Great Wall of China was made by Qin Shi Huangdi who was the First Emperor of China. At first, it was a small wall along the northern border of China made of dirt that was well packed together but from there, Shi Huangdi added more to the wall. The Great Wall of China was made for protection from the Mongols.

The Building
Everybody in the country was required to help build the wall. If one person died, the people working beside him would just put him on the wall and keep on building. The wall's frame was made with soil and willow branches. The wall was mostly built during the Ming Dynasty. The bricks in the walls that they used are made of the same materials as it was when they were actually building it.
The wall is visible from outer space.
